Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Neolia, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Neolia application, website (getneolia.com), and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Neolia (16 in the European Union). By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you may only use Neolia with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You must not be located in a country subject to a French or EU trade embargo, and you must not be on any government prohibited or restricted parties list.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful registration information
- Not share your account or credentials with anyone else
- Notify us immediately at support@getneolia.com if you suspect unauthorized access
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or bans
You may not transfer your account to another person. Neolia accounts are personal and non-transferable.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Post, send, or distribute content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or pornographic
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation with any person or entity
- Spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages to other users
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Neolia's systems or other users' accounts
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the Service without permission
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create and share on Neolia (messages, photos, videos, stories). By posting content, you grant Neolia a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and deliver that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you share. Neolia does not pre-screen user content but reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the right to share the content you post
- Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
- Your content complies with all applicable laws
6. Coins, Payments & Subscriptions
Neolia features a virtual currency called Coins that can be used within the app. Coins:
- Have no monetary value outside the app and cannot be exchanged for cash
- Can be purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe (web)
- Are non-refundable except where required by law
- May expire or be forfeited if your account is terminated for violations
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for coins purchased except as required by Apple's, Google's, or applicable consumer protection law.
Paid subscriptions to creators auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your account settings or directly through the App Store / Google Play.
7. Creator Terms
If you use Neolia's creator monetization features (paid calls, subscriptions, tips), you additionally agree to:
- Complete identity and payment verification as required by Stripe Connect
- Comply with all applicable tax laws for income you receive through the platform
- Not charge for illegal, deceptive, or harmful content or services
- Disclose any material relationship or sponsored content to your audience
Neolia reserves the right to modify creator revenue sharing, temporarily hold payouts for fraud investigation, or terminate creator access for policy violations. Payout processing times are subject to Stripe's standard timelines.
8. Intellectual Property
The Neolia name, logo, design, and all related software are the exclusive property of Neolia and its licensors, protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
The Neolia logo and brand identity (including the gradient mark and color palette) may not be used in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation without our explicit permission.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
Neolia may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms or our community guidelines
- Fraudulent activity or abuse of the coin economy
- Legal requirements or court orders
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Coins and subscriptions in your account at the time of termination for violations are forfeited without refund.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Neolia does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neolia shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, coins, or revenue resulting from Service interruption
- Content posted by other users
- Unauthorized access to your account if caused by your failure to secure your credentials
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Neolia in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless mandatory local consumer protection law provides otherwise.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are located.
